So….what differentiates 5 star hotels in Paris? The biggest noticeable difference is room space. 5 star hotels in Paris have bigger bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas than lower starred properties. This is mainly because the lesser stared hotels are converted historic townhouses whereas 5 star hotels in Paris are either purpose-built or much larger commercial buildings. Oh and you’ll also probably have an onsite restaurant possibly headed by a famous chef, safes in all the bedrooms, English as a standard spoken language, room service and maybe a swimming pool and gym, along with outstanding care and attention.
Here are some of ours, but if you don’t see the one you crave on our website just call us and we’ll try to source it.
Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel  – 88 bis Avenue Kleber, Paris 16; Wow! What a location – midway between the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower in one of the really upmarket areas of Paris. The rooms are very plush and fitted to a modern style, as is the décor throughout the hotel. Definitely one those places where it can be more tempting to stay in all weekend than venture out!   Metro: Boissiere
Ritz Paris  – 15 Place Vendome, Paris 1; On the Right Bank beside Place de la Concorde and the Louvre Museum. The basic room here is the Superior and then everything above it is either a Deluxe or a Suite. Enjoy the gym, swimming pool and spa treatment and then in terms of drink and food pick from Bar Vendome, Salon Proust, Ritz Bar and Bar Hemingway. Throughout your stay try not to feel too self-conscious about being so poor……….      Metro: Madeleine
Le Scribe Paris Opera by Sofitel  – 1 Rue Scribe, Paris 9; It’s so close to the Ritz Paris that it can justly be described as a neighbour though a lot more modern and relaxed. Enjoy the Mediterranean style cuisine of Rivage restaurant or for a snack sample Café Scribe. Le Bar du Scribe will sort you out with cocktails or beers. Metro: Opera
Hotel du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe  – 51-57 Rue de Courcelles, Paris 8; This spot is about 500m east of the Arc de Triomphe and is about a 2 minute walk from the green and relaxing Parc Monceau. This design hotel boasts a privileged position in the most elegant and exclusive district in Paris, having art galleries, luxurious boutiques and attractions like Arc de Triomphe a few steps away. The hotel’s rooms are decorated in the finest Art Deco style, featuring refined, exotic and precious materials including Macassar Ebony, oriental green Jade and pitch black granite. Guests can enjoy a drink at the bar with its comfortable sofas and armchairs providing a cosy atmosphere. The hotel’s restaurant offers traditional Parisian brasserie-style cuisine as well as international dishes. The velvet armchairs and black granite decor complete the Art Deco style of this Paris restaurant, which also features 3 terraces. Metro: Courcelles ©ArrowTours
