As our nearest neighboring capital city London holidays are hard to beat. With direct flights from all Irish airports London holidays for you are totally accessible.
In fact, you will be visiting two cities: the city of Westminster in the central/ western part which contains most of the tourist attractions, museums, shopping & theatres and the City of London towards the east which is more focused on business and banking and contains the famous ‘Square Mile’ of financial institutions. Wherever you decide to stay there will be a hotel and location to meet your desires and budget – just have a look on our booking engine above or give our friendly and helpful staff a call on 041 983 1177.
In terms of moving round London there is an underground train system known as The Tube which will zap you from one location to another with ease and it runs daily from early morning until about 11:30pm.
Have a look through our various London pages here to get a flavour and idea of places you’d like to visit and these might include the Houses of Parliament & Big Ben to see where the politicians hang out, Westminster Abbey where monarchs get crowned, Buckingham Palace to have tea with Her Majesty, the National Gallery where you can buy posters of your favourite masterpieces, the Tower of London where you may be lucky enough to witness a traitor being beheaded and Madame Tussauds to see this week’s celebrities getting waxed.
Then go and do a bit of shopping in the department stores of Selfridges (in Oxford Street) or Harrods (in Knightsbridge) or go and window-shop only in the fabulous jewelers of Bond Street. Bear in mind that the UK still uses the pound sterling £ as their currency and not the Euro so it is worth keeping an eye on exchange rates in the weeks up to your trip in order to ensure you buy your spending money at a good rate from your bank.
After a hectic day’s sightseeing and shopping take a trip to one of the forty-or-so theatres to see the current blockbuster unfold before your eyes, whether that’s a musical, a comedy or a drama. You’ll be in Theatreland now and afterwards follow it up with pint of traditional beer or ale in one of the multitude of pubs dotted around the area – many of them have stood there for centuries.   ©ArrowTours
